Splish, splash, sick of takin’ a bath? That’s right—you’re not Bobby Darin, and the family tub is a pathetic substitute for the deep blue delight of an actual swimming pool. Yes, yes . . . we know that summer’s officially over, but that’s no excuse to forego a little aquatic excitement, even if you do live in a wickedly windy city. Just head over to Eckhart Park for the free family swim and kick off your week with one or two cannonballs. If Monday’s not the ideal moment to act out an Esther Williams movie with your tadpoles, make time for a dip Tuesday through Friday from 6:30 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. or Saturday from 2:15 P.M. to 3:15 P.M. This schedule remains in effect until December 9th, so you have absolutely no excuse to retreat to your bathtub with goggles and your set of rub-a-dub dinosaur bath squirters!
