Isn’t it Grand?

Tour: Free Walking Tours of Grand Central Terminal
Wednesdays and Fridays. Please check the Web site for updated information.

It’s never the same journey twice when you take part in the free walking tours of Grand Central Terminal. The tours meet outside on 42nd Street and Park Avenue at the Sculpture Court of the Whitney Museum entrance (across the street from Grand Central) and take you on a journey through the neighborhood. Led by urban historian Justin Ferate, these treks lead you through the terminal, as well as by the Chrysler Building, Pershing Square and the original Lincoln Memorial. (Who even knew that was there?) Wear comfy shoes and be prepared for a solid 90-minute walk – so don’t forget a stroller if you have the kids in tow. Also be ready for lots of questions about every other building you see all day – this is the kind of event that definitely piques kids’ interest in the city around them.
