RiverFlicks are the ultimate in outdoor movie viewing when there is no drive-in in sight. Every Friday at dusk (about 8:30 P.M.) in July and August, Hudson River Park invites the whole family to have the theater experience with KidFlicks! Tonight, you won’t want to miss this fifth annual showing of the original Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. The classic won’t creep your kids out (you know, like that other one with scary hairdos and makeup), and you can have fun shouting out your favorite lines at the screen. (For example: “Invention, my dear friends, is 93 percent perspiration, 6 percent electricity, 4 percent evaporation and 2 percent butterscotch ripple.”) So, kick back at Hudson River Park with your kids and some snacks (the popcorn is free!) and enjoy watching Augustus, Violet, Mike, Veruca and Charlie on their dangerous and delightful adventure.
