Greenpoint and Williamsburg are home to so many hipsters that it’s hard to think that those hip hoods might be the site of some truly cool kids’ events, too. But variety is the name of the game at the Town Square Starz Oldies Night at the area’s main outdoor hangout, McCarren Park. No matter what your kids’ interests are, there is something for everyone at this Hump Day happening. It starts at 6:00 P.M. with a storytelling and arts and crafts hour led by the Brooklyn Public Library. Then at 7:30, classic rock band Take 5 takes the stage, performing pop, soul, Motown and more. The night ends with a sunset screening of the 80s Michael J. Fox time-traveling classic Back to the Future on the park’s Lorimer Lawn. Get there early and take advantage of the more than 35 acres of fun.
