3rd Thursday of the month. Please check the Web site for updated information.
Take advantage of Target Third Thursdays this week as the Staten Island Children’s Museum stays open an extra hour and offers free admission from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. The award-winning museum boasts everything that will intrigue your youngsters, from bugs to boats. If you have a little Indiana Jones on your hands, check out the Great Explorations exhibit, where you can dogsled through the tundra, dive to the ocean floor or get to know the inhabitants of a rain forest up close and personal. There are also opportunities for pretend, whether you’re dressing up and performing in Portia’s Playhouse or donning a fireman’s outfit and sliding down the pole in Ladder 11. And don’t forget Granny and Gramps, as grandparents are always free.
