Find out how wrong you are this Sunday at the CHARACTER COUNTS! Back-to-School Splash Bash at the Holiday Inn Elmhurst. CHARACTER COUNTS! is a nationwide coalition that aims to “advocate core ethical values through the ‘Six Pillars of Character’ – trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.” Luckily for your littlest swimmers, the program is partnering with the Elmhurst Park District and the Holiday Inn Elmhurst this weekend for a family event that will feature admission to the hotel’s Mayan Water Park, T-shirts, games, prizes and refreshments. A dip in the pool and character cultivation? Try beating that by lecturing your kiddos about fairness as they fight over toys in the bathtub!
