Most parents will admit it: They dread the day their child says, “Mom and Dad, I want to be an artist!” It’s certainly a noble profession, but well . . . it’s so expensive! Paint brushes aren’t exactly a dime a dozen, canvas isn’t cheap, and soon the kids will even want their own studio. Main Line Art Center has the perfect solution for supportive parents who hope to remain financially stable. This Sunday, the center presents six free Fresh StART Workshops for kids, including ceramics, sculpture, fibers, printmaking, collage and jewelry. The 45-minute sessions are absolutely hands-on, and all supplies are provided; however, your creative geniuses are encouraged to leave their favorite outfits at home. Kids can choose up to three workshops (one per hour), and children under five should be accompanied by an adult.
