Foster: A Kitten with PAWS Adoption Center
Mondays through Sundays. Please check the Web site for updated information.

The Philadelphia PAWS Adoption Center is calling for your help. People have been surrendering orphaned kittens and mom cats with litters like crazy recently, and the shelter is absolutely full. Kittens generally aren't fit for adoption until they're about eight weeks old, so PAWS is in desperate need of foster parents who will care for and nurture the little ones until they're ready to go to their forever homes. For orphaned kittens, this may mean regular bottle-feeding. Fostering a kitten also involves keeping the animals indoors, bringing them to the shelter for spaying/neutering, providing suitable bedding, litter and food and helping them find forever homes. Check out the PAWS foster parent FAQ page for more information. This may be a great way to test out that family pet, teach the kids responsibility and show them the work involved – all while lending a helping hand to PAWS.
