Book a babysitter for your under-five crowd and sign up for some summertime bonding at Ridley Creek State Park. Ideal for seven- to 12-year-olds, the Campfire Club is a monthly night hike through the rugged landscape of Ridley Creek. Kids must be accompanied by an adult for this 1.5-mile hike under the stars, but that shouldn’t be a problem because this activity is geared toward families. Help your youngsters pack a mug, a marshmallow-roasting stick, a flashlight and a blanket for this adventurous mini-camping trip. The group will collect wood during the hike, then work together to build a campfire for hot chocolate and marshmallows. Stories will be told, and songs will be sung, so make sure to preregister for this evening of fun. A $2 donation is requested, and groups are welcome at Campfire Club.
