When you get home from work, sometimes the last thing you want to do is think about all the drama, paperwork and general eye-rolling that your office inspires. But a lot can be gained from sharing some of those day-to-day experiences with your kids. For starters, it can help them understand exactly what it is you do when you leave the house and help them get a better grip on what it takes to succeed in the “real world.” So, when you sit down at dinner tonight, regale the table with a story from you job. Think of it in true storytelling terms, with good guys and bad guys, struggles and lessons learned. You might not initially think your job has as many entertaining characters as The Office, but, after some thought, you just might be surprised.
